Multimedia Pioneering Issue # 4

Hello,

Today we as the class went to visit the Visualization Design Institute upstairs in the school. It was interesting to see what they had to offer. We got to see the simulations and stuff that they did for the police, like a system so that the police knew how to check skid marks on the road in all weather conditions. Then we got to see part of ottawa city and we got to drive through it to see how the transportation worked. Another part we got to see was driving through the city to see how to get to the airport. We saw a human and a frog being taken apart by each layer to see what was inside.

After that we got to look around the "office" we were able to go to the second floor studio and watch a short video with a "hidden" mystery as well as we got to hold small computers "I can't remember what their names where". It was fun and interesting to see how things work.

Multimedia Pioneering issue # 1

Hello again,

I'm doing some catchin up since I've been having a hard time with classes and I just finished exams..Which now my brain seriously hurts.

So my first class in Multimedia Pioneering we had a Vj come in a show us some tricks that we can do with videos and music mixed together. I was interesting to see something like that. We were able to watch what he was doing on his equipment while he worked as well as we got to help set up all of the equipment. After the Display he did we were able to ask questions and actually try some ourselves, while our teacher told us what he wanted us to create with the equipment, but of course with some help.

So that was first day!

Hello Everyone,

As you can tell by my Blog name I am a Sheridan Student, Yes I am female. I started attending Sheridan College September 2006 and I hope to graduate in the year 2007. I'm currently taking Interactive Multimedia in hopes of finding a job in the working world as a Designer.

When I first found out I was going to attend Sheridan I was nervous. I have to travel 2 hours just to get to my classes, and I didn't know how my teachers were going to be. But once I got myself going, I found out that my teachers are great and yes, classes are going to be hard, but it will all work out.
